The Foo Fighters are getting ready to drop a new album next year which will feature ex-Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic. Butch Vig, of Nevermind fame, will take the helm in the booth.
Frontman Dave Grohl recently spoke with Radio1
"The last month we've been recording in my garage, totally old school analog...This whole project has been really cool. I haven't made a record with Butch for 20 years. I know the record and I can't wait 'til everyone else hears it. Foo Fighter fans are going to freak out because honestly, it's awesome."
Grohl said seven songs were finished so far. The band recently announced a pair of stadium shows for July.
This video here is from the '07 MTV Music Awards. I tuned into for about five minutes that night and caught this performance. A bunch of bands performed in this room thru out the night and were featured for a minute or two before cut aways to commercial. They should have just put these dudes on stage that night and let them run the show. Best part of this video, half the dipshits in the crowd have no idea what song is being played and how awesome the fact of Serj and FF jamming together is.
