Old Man Defends His Home With Chair, Wants More Juice

An 88 year old English man defended his home and his wife against knife wielding intruders last Friday night. Retired postman John Ives summoned up the courage to disarm one of the men who was holding a knife to his wife's throat. It all happened in a split second as the couple sat and watched TV.

He said: ”I looked up and there were a couple of blokes dressed in black and wearing ski masks at the door. I thought ‘It’s not Halloween yet’.
