This may be a first in the American judicial system, I have no idea if it really is. A jury in Missoula, MT refused to prosecute a man on marijuana charges, saying the amount was too small, an 8th, and that is was a waste of tax payer money. Both sides of the legal teams met and decided it would be best to drop the charges since the jury was staging a protest of sorts. I didn't think the jury could do something like that, I mean it's not murder or rape, just a little ganja. A step in the right direction? Maybe...just maybe.
