Some good news coming out of the Beastie Boys camp is that Adam Yauch's 18 month cancer battle seems to have come to an end. Doctors have given Yauch the all clear and say he's free of all cancer cells. He had been battling parotid gland cancer since July 2009.
The Beastie Boys have new material to release but say we'll have to wait for the new project, Hot Sauce Committee Part 1. The group hopes to tour soon but say everything is still up in the air, they want to give MCA plenty of time to heal 100% before they get to serious.
Mike D said in a recent interview with BBC Radio1 that they still plan to release the second part of Hot Sauce Committee on time, Spring 2011, but after that things were still up in the air.
