1939Ginger Baker is born. Best known for his time spent in Cream('66-'68) and Blind Fatih('68-'69). Baker was ranked by Rolling Stone magazine as the third greatest drummer of all time.
Although a firmly established rock drummer, he prefers being referred to as a jazz drummer. Often said to be one of the firtst drummers in rock to indtroduce the drum solo.
