Back in the day when Charles Bronson wasn't serving up fist loads of vigilante justice he was bathing in his favorite cologne, Mandom. Yes, this was a real product in this was the actual commercial. I'd love to get my hands on some that stuff so I too can smell like Charlie B and woo the ladies. But for real, he straight up takes a bath in the shit. Take it easy Chuck, a little dab will do.

Greatest Family Guy Clip
This is by far my favorite joke ever done on Family Guy. All hail Jon Benjamin!!!

The Horror Years
If you don't remember the old TV show the Wonder Years this one might sail over your head. The show centered around Kevin Arnold (little Fred Savage) growing up in the turbulent '60s. The show was pretty much one big flashback narrated by his adult self looking back and remembering events in his life. A maniacal genius swapped out the inner, narrative monologue and replaced it was '80s horror synth. This might be my favorite thing on the internet right now.
Jack Black Takes On Japanese Game Show
Jack Black appeared on the game show "Infinite Challenge" earlier this year. From what I can gather the point of the game is Jack has to mimic a J-pop song he's never heard and a the other contestants, who I think might be comedians or actors, have to guess the song based on his interpretations.

Jian Yang v/s Erlich Bachman
Probably my favorite duo on TV right now. No one can make a prank phone better than Silicon Valley's very own Jian Yang.

Joe Pera "The Pancake Breakfast Critic"
Joe Pera is a national treasure and should be treated as such. That's all I'm going to say about that.
Two Old White Men Mumble At Each Other
Back in 1993 Hunter S. Thompson sat down with Keith Richards for what I assume is some kind of interview. I'm not really sure because I couldn't understand much of it. I'm also going to assume that copious amounts of drugs were consumed during their meeting.

Before They Were Famous (Gong Show edition)
Chuck Barris, the host of the classic '70s TV hit The Gong Show, passed away yesterday. If you believe his rumors and the movie Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Chuck led a very interesting life not only as a game show host but as an undercover CIA agent. Chuck was a big hitter in the TV industry during the 60's and 70s for not only bringing the Gong Show to air but for also creating The Newlywed Show and The Dating Game. The Gong Show is famous for a lot of reasons, mostly because it was called one of the worst shows in the history of TV but it gave birth to pop culture icons like the Unknown Comic and Gene Gene the Dancing Machine. However, over the years on the Gong Show there were a lot of contestants that would later go on to be famous in their own right. Below is a video of an unknown group of bizarre musicians called The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo. That name might ring a bell for some. This group would later go through some line-up changes and become the 80's pop band Oingo Boingo fronted by musical genius Danny Elfman. Danny is just a young buck in the video, he's one of the rocket men. At the time the group was fronted and formed by Danny's brother but over the years Danny would take the helm and reform them as a pop group.
Inappropriate Laugh Tracks
I don't know why I find this so funny. TV shows always try and tackle difficult topics but it all goes to shit once you throw a laugh track over the top of it.

Seseme Street v/s Bone Thugs-n-Harmony
Per the Youtube description:
The cast of Sesame Street performs the Bone Thugs-n-Harmony classic, “Tha Crossroads”. Starring Grover as Bizzy Bone, Elmo as Layzie Bone, Cookie Monster as Krayzie Bone, and Telly as Wish Bone. This was, by far, the toughest song choice out of all the mashups I’ve ever created, but it’s one of the best rap songs ever, so it had to be done. Video by Mylo the Cat aka Adam Schleichkorn.
Okilly Dokilly - "White Wine Spritzer"
Feast your eyes and ears upon the world's #1 Simpsons themed metal band, Okilly Dokilly. I guess to be more specific it's more of a Ned Flanders themed metal band. Regardless, these guys have nailed the look and come correct with some pretty solid tunes.
Okilly Dokilly is
Head Ned - vocals
Red Ned - synth, vocals
Stead Ned - guitar
Thread Ned - bass
Bled Ned - drums

Zappa Debates the Parents Music Research Council
This past Friday we covered this story on the 2 Assholes Talking Music podcast. It's almost 31 years to the date the late, great Frank Zappa went on ABC News with Ted Koppel to debate censorship in music with Kandy Stroud from the PMRC and bubble gum popstar Donny Osmond. This is 1985, just years before we'd see Parental Advisory stickers become the norm in the music industry as part of censoring music for certain age groups. The debate concentrates mostly on the PMRC crafting a rating system for albums just like the ratings we see in films and now television. You can probably imagine where Zappa stands on all this and where Kandy Stroud from the PMRC stands as well. Funny thing is that ABC brought on Donny Osmond to represent the clean side of music but he ends up agreeing with Frank on most of the issues. It's a fascinating watch if for nothing else to watch Ted Koppel, a true journalist and broadcaster moderate the shit out of this debate. Something that is sorely missing from news broadcasts this day in age. Part 1 is embedded below and you can find parts 2 & 3 here and here.
Sock Puppets Predict the Future
Back before MTV switched to garbage programming and still ran music videos from time to time they had one of the best shows ever, Sifl & Olly. The show was the brain child of Liam Lynch and Matt Crocco and ran from '97-'99. It was like a bad acid trip meets children's TV way before shows like Wondershowzen were on the air. The two main characters are a green sock puppet named Sifl and a white sock puppet named Olly. Sifl is the calmer leader of the show, while Olly is more excitable and often breaks into crazed furies. Their assistant, Chester, is a mumbling, often nonsensical character who still claims to be great at everything. No real living people or animals ever appeared on the show (except the hamster during Precious Roy's foot long hamster sale), only puppets. The show was always very simple and low-budget. Most of the show's main characters were puppets, with background images or animations in the background via a chromakey. The two co-hosts often had a microphone in front of them. The show had an unscripted feel with the characters talking to each other in realistic, often meandering styles. Sifl and Olly would sing both original and classic songs throughout the show with an original song at the end. Though it featured puppets, the series was not intended for children. The humor often featured profanity, sexual references, drug innuendo, crude humor, bodily functions, and violence.
In this specific clip Sifl & Olly throw it over to Precious Roy, their home shopping network, for a pitch on a new line of electronic cigarettes. The skit itself is pretty bizarre but even more so considering at that time e-cigs weren't a thing and now almost 20 years later electronic cigs are everywhere. Sock puppets just predicted the future. Mind blown.

The Best of Letterkenny: Wayne
If you have had a chance to watch the break out hit Letterkenny you're missing out on one of the best new comedies. It might go over some people's heads as the show is based in Canada and deals with a lot of inside Canadian jokes but that doesn't matter. The show is flat out hysterical. This video features the best of Wayne, the main character of the show. A salt of the earth blue collar farmer who doesn't have time for anyone's bullshit while he's enjoying a beer and a dart with his two best friends. You can find the show on Crave TV or on YouTube if you feel like watching some bootleg episodes.

The Voice of Tina From Bob's Burgers
Bob's Burgers is one of my favorite shows right now. Great writing and animation but the best part is the voice ensemble. Of course, you have the great Jon Benjamin as Bob who is one of the best voices ever. Comedian Kristen Schaal is also amazing as middle child Louise but oddly enough is the only main female cast member. Momma Belcher is played by John Roberts and the oldest child Tina, probably my favorite character, is played by dead pan comedian Dan Mintz. Turns out he doesn't do much in the way of changing his voice to do Tina, he just kind of does himself. Here's one of Dan's sets from the David Letterman show.

Fake Chef Trolls Midwest Morning Shows
The crew over at Found Footage Fest pulled off an incredible prank a few years back by convincing a bunch of small town TV morning shows that their buddy was a chef of some sort. They managed to get him booked on five different shows and the anchors bought the whole thing hook, line, and sinker. Most of the anchors are young kids who are most likely right out of college so they'll say and do anything that won't get them fired. The best part is the all seemed totally convinced that Chef Keith knew what he was talking about.

Best of "Letterkenny" Season 1
If you're not familiar with "Letterkenny Problems" than you're missing out on one of the funniest shorts on the internet. Letterkenny is the creation of Jared Kesso and Jacob Tierney that started out as short YouTube videos making fun on the locals of their hometown, a small farming community located outside of Ontario. The first couple of minute long shorts collected millions of views and the pair decided they were sitting on top of a great idea and decided to take it to TV. Now it's a full blown show airing on Canada's CraveTV. Letterkenny is the first original series commissioned by CraveTV and premiered on that platform on February 7, 2016. The show has its roots in Letterkenny Problems web series.
Letterkenny Problems garnered a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Original Fiction Program or Series Created for Digital Media at the 2nd Canadian Screen Awards in 2014. The town of Letterkenny portrayed in the series is fictional, and not based on the actual ghost town in Northeast Ontario. Sitting here in the states I can only hope that Netflix picks it up. It has the same feel as Trailer Park Boys did when it first came out and dare I say is just as good. Seeing that TPB's best episodes are behind them I think Letterkenny Problems could dethrone them as the breakout Canadian hit here in the US.
