Today in Rock History

1977
Heart hits #11 w/ Barracuda. The Wilson sisters are so fucking bad ass!! The ladies rocked harder than most dudes at that time.

1979
Frank Zappa releases 'Joe's Garage Act I,' followed two months later by 'Joe's Garage, Acts II & III.' Zappa describes his magnum opus as "a stupid story about how the government is going to try to do away with music."
Great album with the Bozio, Arthur Barrow, Ike Willis and of course The Utility Muffin Research Kitchen Chorus . Some personal highlights for me include; "Crew Slut"~"Stick it Out"~ and of course.....

1989
'Pump' the cornerstone album of Aerosmith's post-sobriety, is released. It yields a slew of hit singles: "Love in an Elevator" (#5), "Janie's Got a Gun" (#4), "What It Takes" (#9) and "The Other Side" (#22)
