HBO has been running Clash of the Titans non-stop for the last month and I keep seeing one guy that I know from somewhere. It finally dawned on me who he was, it was Tony from Pusher. The character in Clash I'm referring to is the head warrior who takes Perseus on his journey.
Pusher isn't a new movie by any means, I first caught it a few years ago and have watched them all a few times. It's a tough movie to explain. First of all, if you don't like subtitles then don't even bother. It's a Danish movie and takes place in the streets of Copenhagen. Besides that it's not really a trilogy other than the fact that there's three movies with the same title. It doesn't really follow the same story in the traditional sense but rather it jumps around from a few different characters. Each movie follows a different person but each of the characters are part of the drug underground in Copenhagen. The first one starts off at the lower level, but we're introduced to most of the characters you'll see thru out. the second follows Tony, dude from CoT, and his exploits and the third we follow Milo. A Copenhagen drug king who has his own problems to deal with.
All three movies will keep you wanting more, the only hard part is that you have to leave each person at the end of the film. I'm not doing it justice in anyway, but if you enjoy a gritty, non glamorized, documentary like look into the European drug world than this movie will deliver. You can pick it up on Netflix or any local store.
