That Corpse is Alive

I'm sure it's every coroners worst nightmare. There you are in the morgue doing your work when all of a sudden one of the bodies gets up and walks out. Truth is stranger than fiction. According to Brazilian newspaper O Globo, Rosa Celestrino de Assis, in her 60s, was suffering from pneumonia and was wrongly pronounced dead by a doctor on call. She was then sent to a morgue and was stuck in a body bag for 2 hours. The discovery was made only after the "dead" womans daughter came to see her one last time. When the daughter went in for a hug she noticed her mother was still breathing. Rosa was immediatley freed from cold storage and put back on life support at the hospital. Doctors apoligized for the mistake and claimed Rosa showed no vital signs when they pronounced her.
