As you know NASA has been all about Mars lately. They sent out rovers over 3 years ago along with other various types of equipment. It seems though that the 2 rovers, Spirit and Oppurtunity, have long out lasted the other gear and their own mission. NASA had planned on the rovers operating for 3 months but it turns out that they've been up on Mars cruising around and gathering vital information for over three years. Some of the biggest finds have been when Spirit discovered what appeared to be a puddle and in 2009 kicked up a steam vent. NASA is currently building the third rover, Curiosity, and have a launch date planned after thanksgiving.
NASA put together a video of all the footage both rovers have gathered, about 3 mintues worth.
