Beetlejuice 2??

Rumors are afoot about a possible sequel to the 1988 Tim Burton classic Beetlejuice with Burton tacked on as the director. The writer/producer team of David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith are currently working on a sequel that has the blessing of Burton but has not directly involved him up to this point. However, Burton recently sat down with MTV News and said that he would love to be a part of the film creatively. He told them,
"I love that character, and Michael Keaton is so great in it. I always think about how great and fun that character was, so I just said to Seth, 'If you have some idea about it, go for it, and then I'll look at it freshly. In the past, I tried some things, but that was way back when. He seemed really excited about it."
No absolutes have been decided at this point. Tim Burton is currently working on Dark Shadows, a gothic horror tale centering on the life of vampire Barnabas Collins, played by Depp, and his run-ins with various monsters, witches, werewolves and ghosts. It's based on an old TV series.
