I know I'm like a month late on getting this up but Soulfly has a new album!!!! Max Cavalera is back with guitarist Mark Rizzo, bassist Tony Campos from Static-X fame, and Dave Kinkade from Arsis on drums for a 15 year anniversary celebration. Enslaved hit shelves back in March and features 11 tracks of good ole fashioned Soulfly. It's nice to hear Max still shred on vocals after all these years, I like his voice better now compared to the old Sepultura days. The new album can almost be called thrash in my opinion. In the past Soulfly have been straight forward metal for the most part but this new album just fucking rips! Some old friends dropped by the studio too. Devildriver lead singer Dez Fafara makes an appearance as does Cattle Decapitation frontman Travis Ryan and Max's kids make a cameo on the track "Revengeance", a song about Cavalera's stepson, Dana Wells, who was murdered. A few slow tracks sprinkled in but mostly it's just hard hitting, down tuned Rizzo guitars, and savage new tunes from one of the best metal bands around.
