Mom Murders Over Cheap Gift

Mother's Day was this past weekend and it's always important to remember to tell your mom that you love her and get her a nice gift. Most normal moms will thank you with a hug but down in Beaumont, TX they keep shit real. If you fuck up on Mother's Day somebody is gettin' cut!
One mother is in jail and another one is grieving after a cheap present turned deadly this past Sunday.
J.R. Barkin, 22, went to Wal-mart and picked up some flowers and a card for his wife and the mother of his 2 kids. Barkin's own mother took him to the store and dropped him back off at his home. Little did she know this was the last time she would see her son alive.
According to the report, when Barkin came back home he gave his wife the gifts and that's when all hell broke loose. Paige Parkerson told police she was expecting a more expensive gift, like jewelry and she was so angry about how cheap the gift was she stabbed her baby daddy. Multiple times with a kitchen knife. Barkin's body was found lifeless in the backyard of the home.
Parkerson, 20, is being held in Jefferson County Jail on a first-degree felony murder charge, with bail set at $75,000.
