Meth Leads to Paddle Boat Murder

As I've reported on here in the past meth is a helluva drug. Turns out it can make you do some pretty irrational, crazy shit. Like murder your friend cause he's not paddle boating up to your standards. I know that's on my list of things that chaps my ass.
Police in Arizona have booked a man on murder charges after he intentionally drowned his friend in a small pond. Story goes like this, 20yr. old Eduardo Mercado and two friend decided to get all hoped on goof balls and steal a couple of paddle boats. I'm guessing they knew a guy who would give them top dollar. Mercado, 26yr. old Juilian Tamayo, and their buddy Ruben Diaz all thought they'd swipe a couple of paddle boats from a local rec center on the lake. The geeked-out trio secured 3 boats, tied them together, and slowly made their get-away across the lake. Only problem was, the victim, Ruben Diaz wanted to paddle the other way opposite of the two other boats. The ring leader Mercado told Diaz to stop fucking around and get with the program. When Diaz wouldn't comply Mercado tackled him off his boat and held his head under water, drowning him.

Witnesses saw the whole thing go down but first reported the attack as someone trying to save someone else from drowning. When the story was straightened out the truth came out and the cops realized they were dealing with a homicide case. Diaz's body was recovered from the shallow pond and it was determined that he was drowned by force. Mercado and Tamayo both face murder charges but Tamayo may have some additional charges tacked on for attacking an officer in the booking station. The pair admitted to police they had both been using meth. Normally I guess these dudes wouldn't have killed their friend for paddle boating in the wrong direction but you mix in a little of that magic crystal and you never know what's going to happen.
