Well it looks like we may have to wait another year for that Anchorman sequel. Which is bullshit because they just released that teaser trailer making it seem like it was coming out right around the corner. According to Steve Carrell aka Brick Tamland it's going to be awhile.
Turns out the movie is still in it's early writing stages with star Will Ferrell and director Adam McKay and that shooting isn't suppose to start until early 2013. Carrell gave an interview with Hitfix and told them that one of the main reasons production has been delayed is the main cast all have a very busy schedule for the rest of 2012. Christina Applegate who plays news vixen Veronica Corningstone was one of the last cast members to sign on stating that she was waiting to see if her NBC sitcom was going to be picked up for another season. With shooting slated to start around March of 2013 Carrell says it will be cutting it close for the planned August release date. The main cast will all be back including Carrell and Ferrell, Paul Rudd, and David Koecher. Carrell's new movie "Seeking a Friend For the End of the World" is in theaters now but he says that he can't wait to start shooting another Anchorman.
