Deftones New Album 'Koi No Yokan'
The Deftones are still going hard after all these years!! The boys from Sacramento are getting ready to release 7th LP and the follow-up to 2010's 'Diamond Eyes'. Lead singer Chino Moreno told NME that the band toes the line between heavy and ambient on the new record, something they've done well in the past but he feels they've really defined that sound in the new songs,
"It's not a super fast or super slow record. It's very dynamic. Some of my favorite things about the Deftones are the dynamics. Yes, we're a heavy band, but we're not just in-your-face aggro the whole time, punching you in the face. There's a lot of aggression in some of the music, but there's also this very soothing element where there's a lot of soundscapes rather than attack, attack, attack the whole time."
'Koi No Yokan' contains 11 tracks and the first single, "Tempest" will be released on October 9th.
The band recently confirmed a full US winter tour in support of the new album but no dates as of yet. The new album hits stores November 13th in the states and overseas on the 12th.
