Dali Turns Up In Thrift Store

A Goodwill store out in Federal Way, WA made a huge discovery among their donation boxes earlier this week. Employees going through the latest haul found an odd etching in an old frame and upon further inspection a small signature in the corner that read Salvidor Dali. A certificate of authenticity on the back proved that it was in fact a real Dali. Store managers did a little research and found that the print had a name, "Reflection", pictured above, and was a piece from his "Cycles of Life Suite". Goodwill decided to auction off the piece and is currently accepting on-line bids on the official Goodwill website. Starting bid is $999.99 but at the moment that are 0 bids. The drawing has seen better days though, according to the auction description,

"The paper has some warping, as if from humidity. The upper right area of matting has some discolored speckling. The other damage is to the frame and glass - a few deep scratches and scuffs."

Either way it's still an original Dali etching and could be all yours for the low, low price of a thousand bucks.
