If there's one thing the world needs less of it's cops who like to rap in there spare time. Because when I think of rap the last thing I think of is a woman old enough to be someone's grandma spittin' hot flame. A Dallas police lieutenant was placed on paid leave after it was discovered that in her spare time she liked to do a little rhyming. And yes, it's as awful as you would expect.
Lt. Regina Smith boasts in one of her songs that she'll shoot anyone that messes with her and goes by the name of Lucille Baller. Really?!? Smith is in charge of the theft and burglary division at several Dallas police stations but likes to keep things grimey in her off hours. The irony of it all is that she's a widow to an officer who was killed in a gang shooting. Apparently she channels the feelings of her husband, killed by gang members, into her songs about shooting other people. Ya, that makes perfect sense.
Internal affairs began an investigation after coming across her website promoting her label and music, Big Rush In Global Media, named after her slain husband. Smith has since removed the songs and videos from her website but still faces punishment from the department.
When asked for a comment by a local news crew Lucille Baller kept shit G,
"I have no comment, and I will deal with whatever happens. It has nothing to do with the police department.”
Smith claims she protected by her freedom of speech but her superiors say that when you hold a job like a police officer you're expected to conduct yourself in a certain manner, not talking about shooting people who mess with your "biznass".
