Since I posted the 'Cannibal Gravy' podcast last week I thought it would be fitting to give a mention to this story. It hasn't really picked up any traction in the media nationwide and I don't know why cause this story is beyond fucked up. New York City metro cop Gilberto Valle was in Manhattan Federal Court this past Monday when he was arraigned on federal charges of conspiracy to commit kidnapping and accessing the federal National Crime Information Center database without authorization. Valle is accused of plotting to kill, torture, and eat a list of women he had compiled using the crime database. The wife of the 'Cannibal Cop' ratted him out to police and gave them a copy of a chat she found on his computer. Valle had been messaging a friend on-line when he mentioned his sick plan. In the message Valle described in detail what his plans were for a woman police are labeling "Victim 1" saying that he was, "thinking of tying her body onto some kind of apparatus . . . cook her over a low heat and keep her alive as long as possible."
Things became real when Valle traveled to Maryland to have lunch with the woman but police say that the woman was unharmed and is in no present danger. She was just one on the list of at least one hundred women that Valle had planned to kill and eat. He's been suspended from the NYPD and is being held until the FBI can sort out the whole mess.
