Deltron 3030 Is Back!!!!
The big news coming out of the hip hop world is that Del is getting ready to release the follow-up to his acclaimed 2000 release, Deltron 3030. The whole crew is back for the new album including Del the Funky Homosapien, Kid Koala, and Dan the Automator. Event II will hit stores in a few months but parts of the album have been finished since 2006. Kid Koala says he laid down the turn table stuff back in May of '06 but the project just kept hitting snags along the way. Automator said in an interview that he predicted the album to drop sometime in 2008 but all parties involved just got busy and the time table just kept getting moved back. Del has been keeping fans up to date via his Facebook page, just last week he posted the first single, "Pay the Price". Back in November Kid Koala told the crowd during a show in Brooklyn that all the work has been completed and the album would be out in the spring. As of right now, no official date has been set. In my opinion, the debut Deltron 3030 is one of the best hip hop albums to ever be produced. Front to back the beats were tight, Del destroyed everything on the mic, and just the whole story line of the album was something that's never really been pulled off before. Del painted an incredible picture with words of a futuristic world overrun by intergalactic dictators and rap battles. He says Event II will take place in the year 4010.
