Broad Daylight Burglary Gets Bungled

There's nothing really outrageous about this story other than the fact that the burglar in question has cemented a place on the list of worst criminals ever. Honestly, who robs a department store in the middle of the day with hundreds of witnesses around? This guy does.
Police were a little shocked when they arrested 47yr. old Paul Masters yesterday at a department store in Kentucky. Arresting officers said it's not uncommon for thieves to target big stores but most of them don't do it during store hours when all the employees are there. A couple of the employees grew suspicious and  called police after they heard something moving around in the ceiling tiles Wednesday afternoon. Police arrived and did a quick search of the store and noticed a ladder propped up in an area where ceiling tiles seemed to be out of place. According to the police report one of the officers popped his head up into the ceiling and spotted Masters. He tried to flee while still in the ceiling but his cunning plan came crashing down, literally. Masters fell 12 feet to the ground and was injured but still had the strength to fight with the cops. He wrestled with officers and was finally subdued and cuffed. Guessing from the mugshot above the cops won the wrestling match. After a quick trip to the hospital Masters was charged with first-degree burglary and fleeing or evading police. Officers on the scene said thieves will enter through ceilings but most of them usually wait until the store is empty and use the cover of darkness. Not this guy though.
