Cleveland Browns LB Busted in Hooker Sting

Looks like the Cleveland Browns have another player to add to the arrest list this summer. Linebacker Quentin Groves is the latest Browns player to make headlines following a run-in with the police and I have to say, if your a professional athlete and get can't laid on your own, you're officially a loser.
Groves was busted in a recent sting operation run by Cleveland police posing as a local escort service. According to the reports Groves arraigned the date over the phone with what he thought has his sexy date, turned out to be a female officer posing as a prostitute. When Groves arrived for his "date" officers swooped in a slapped the cuffs on him for soliciting prostitution. During the arrest cops found $195 in cash and a box of condoms on Groves. He played his college ball at Auburn where he tied the schools all-time sack record. He was picked up in the 2nd round of the 2008 draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars and was recently picked up by Cleveland. How's that for a first impression with the new team? Mini camp is barely under way and this guy is already in trouble with local law enforcement. Groves released an apology statement to the press,

“I want to apologize to the Browns organization, our fans and the city of Cleveland for putting myself in this situation. I realize I let a lot of people down, most importantly my family. I am committed to learning from this and moving forward."

It's not bad enough he's stuck playing for the Browns but now he has to walk around the locker room being known as the guy who has to pay for sex. Tough start to the season. Groves is due back in court on May 10th to find out his punishment. I'm guessing since he's a pro athlete he'll get a slap on the wrist and that will be it. I mean come on, we can't be locking up our star athletes, football is super important.
