New Killswitch Engage Album

Original vocalist Jesse Leach has returned to the band he helped start after the departure of Howard Jones and the band hasn't skipped a beat. That's just my opinion, I'm sure fans out there might argue that point. Not taking anything away from Jones, he was great, but the band sounds just as good if not better on their new album Disarm the Descent which hit stores on April 2nd. Leach left the band after their 2002 album Alive or Just Breathing stating that he was suffering from depression and could no longer be a part of the group, but now he's back!!
This marks the 6th studio album for the band and is the follow-up to 2009s self titled release. Roadrunner Records released the album and features 12 tracks in all. The band is right back where they left off with plenty of killer riffs backed by the growling and melodic voice of Leach. Some die hards may contest that the band has lost some of it luster with the departure of Jones but I think they sound as tight as ever. Leach commented recently that he's in a great place mentally and the new album is a product of everything they poured into it,

"It is with a grateful spirit that we prepare for this record's release. From the music, to the lyrics, to the artwork, we are all proud of what we have accomplished. To me, this is by far my best vocal performance, much thanks to Adam's guidance and faith in my abilities. I am very grateful to be where I am in life, back in an amazing band with a record we are all excited for the world to hear. Thanks to all the fans for their warm welcome back and their undying love for KILLSWITCH ENGAGE."
