Radio DJs Suspended Because People Are Stupid

So yesterday was April Fools Day which means none of were safe from being pranked. Google announced their new 'Google Nose' feature which had people actually believing they could do an image search then actually smell that image. I can just see all the idiots now with their nose pressed up against the screen.
Some other people stuck to tried and true pranks like these two radio DJs down in Florida who tricked listeners into thinking that there water was contaminated with "dihydrogen monoxide" which sent their listeners into a panic. Only thing is that "dihydrogen monoxide" is the scientific name for water.
It's one of the oldest tricks in the book and radio DJs have been doing it for years. Only in the past no one ever got suspended for it. Morning show hosts Val St. John and Scott Fish made the announcement yesterday on their morning show and a majority of the listeners did not find it funny. In fact, the station received enough complaints to warrant a suspension for the morning show. As someone who once worked as a radio DJ I can vouch for the stupidity of the average radio listener. That goes double for the people who actually call in, some of the dumbest people I've ever had the privilege of speaking with.
The truth is the DJs didn't really do anything wrong, they just found another way to say, "Beware!! Water is coming out of the tap" but since they used their big fancy learnin' words they confused their listeners and everyone thought they were being poisoned. Utility officials in Southwest Florida's Lee County were bombarded by callers wanting to know what the chemical was doing in the water and spent a good portion of the day telling callers that there was nothing wrong with the water, they're just stupid.
