Blur Will Record New Album
Blur frontman Damon Albarn confirmed the news that the band will start recording a new album this year live on stage this past weekend during a show in Hong Kong. Albarn told the crowd at the Asia World Expo concert that the band will hit the studio after they wrap up a world tour,
"We were supposed to play in Taiwan and Japan next week, but due to unforeseen circumstances we weren't able to go there so we have a week in Hong Kong, so we thought it would be a good time to try and record another record."
Right now Blur is on their re-union tour across the globe hitting up major international cities like Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, Istanbul, and other European spots. New album rumors have been making the rounds since the band got back together but no official word had ever been given until this past weekend. Some might say it could be just talk at this point but based on the bands success during this tour I would say they got that itch back and are ready to head back to the studio and give the fans want they really want, a new album!!!
Check out the bands official website BlurBalls for all the info and a video of the announcement.
