It was announced earlier this year that the current season of Futurama would be it's last but fans have something to look forward to. News has hit that Futurama will be doing a crossover episode with The Simpsons!! Make sense considering the two shows are produced by the same people, surprised this hasn't happened all ready. The crossover was announced this past weekend at Comi-Con in San Diego by Simpsons producer Al Jean. The episode will feature everyones favorite alcoholic robot Bender playing the role of a Terminator like character,
"Bender has to come back from the future to kill Bart because there's something that Bart does now that makes the future really, really, really bad,"
Not much to go on but from that little blip they have my attention. As a fan of both shows I have to say that this will be epic. As of right now there's no firm date for when the episode will air but the folks over at The Simpsons say that it will either be the finale for the 25th season which airs in May of 2014 or it will be the first episode of season 26 which airs in the fall of 2014. It's also been announced that The Simpsons will be joined by Family Guy in an episode due to air in the fall of 2014.
