Mastodon Releasing Their Own Beer

Since Mastodon has conquered the metal world it only makes sense that they move on to crafting their own beer. And this ain't no watered down bullshit either. The new ale clocks in with an impressive alcohol percentage of 8.3! The new ale, 'Black Tongue', is named after the opening track of their 2011 album
'The Hunter' and was co-created by the UK's Signature Brew Company. The brewery claims it's their most potent creation to date and is described as,
"Rumbling smoky notes are offset by the elixir of misbehaving punchy hops. Mosaic and Magnum hops to the front, with Carafa Special 3 Malt and Pale on the baseline, this is our biggest and most powerful creation to date. The band wanted to create a 'pallet crusher' and that's certainly what has been delivered. A beer for enjoying slowly, letting the bombardment of flavor and intensity hit your tongue and explode with every sip."

You can pick up a 3-pack for around $15 and six packs run about $30. Supplies are going fast so head over to Signature Brew's website and get your order in now. Orders placed this week would arrive on December 3rd. So if any of you out there are thinking of getting me a Christmas gift, hint hint.
