The Old Dead Bird Trick

Beware the next time you buy a bag of salad from your local grocery store because it might have a dead bird in it. It's like the morbid version of a golden ticket. Paul Streeter from Somerset, England won the grand prize recently when he found a dead baby bird in his bag of baby leaf and rocket salad. Personally I'd be more worried about the rockets but to each his own. Paul said he purchased the lettuce hours earlier and was going to prepare it for dinner that night. His wife scooped some of the lettuce on to her plate when she noticed the bird. The Streeters said the bird appeared decomposed and skeletal. A spokesman for the grocery store said they take these matter serious and will look into it further. They also apologized to the Streeters and urged them to try some of the dead bird soup instead.
