When you hear 5'4" 250 pounds the first image that pops in your head isn't a pole dancer. That's where LuAyne Barber comes in to severely crush any pre-conceived notions. LuAyne rocks the stage out in Hanover, Maryland and decided to take up the profession after having her first child. Which if you didn't know is the best time to take your clothes off on stage for money, when all that baby weight is still fresh. LuAyne had always been bigger but when she was younger she participated in dance and cheerleading. Wanting to light that old flame she built up the courage to take a pole dancing class. After enough time LuAyne was able to get up on stage and take her clothes off .Some of the dancers at the beginning called her 'fat' and 'beached whale' but she's gotten over that. Barber says that pole dancing has changed her life and her husband is her #1 fan, 'Will loves my dancing. I've always been curvy. I'm not going to let my weight stop me doing what i love,'.
The mother-of-two says she balances training on the 8-foot poles with her family life. She even has a practice pole installed in her home. She runs a website called Team-Lulu.com and has built up a cult following on her Youtube channel.
