He may be 91 years old but that won't stop film legend Sir Christopher Lee from churning out another metal album. Some of the younger readers might know him as Saruman from the Lord of the Rings trilogy and if you're a horror buff, well, the list is pretty long. Lee hit the music scene back in 1998 with his album Christopher Lee Sings Devils, Rogues, & Other Villians which was billed as more of an opera album. Then in 2006 he released Revelation followed up by Charlemagne: By Sword and the Cross in 2010. On those two efforts he experimented with a more symphonic metal sound. Plus, you can't forget his kick ass Christmas album last year. A must have for any holiday party. He released his 4th effort, Charlemagne: The Omens of Death, yesterday on his 91st birthday. This time around he's leaning more towards just straight metal with arrangements by Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner and featuring World Guitar Idol champion Hedras Ramos. The new album is available pretty much everywhere and I recommend it just for the fact it's Sir Christopher fucking Lee keepin' it brutal!! Check out the video for samples of the album and an interview with Lee talking about the concept behind Charlemagne: The Omens of Death...........
