The Rappin' Duke

My old rooomate in college used to have this on vinyl and I'll never forget the day he called me in to give it a listen for the first time. Words can't explain the awesomeness of The Rappin' Duke so you just have to listen for yourself. Somewhere back in the '80s a guy by the name of Shawn Brown decided to make a rap album disguised as John Wayne, wouldn't have been my first pick for celebrities to imitate on a rap album but what do I know. The gimmick never really caught on but at least we have this gem to go back to and enjoy.
