If you're a fan of the American version of The Office then you already know that there's only 2 episodes left. There were rumors at the beginning of this last season that Michael Scott, played by Steve Carrell, would not be making any cameos in the last episodes. I kind of thought that was strange that the shows biggest character would miss out on the last few episodes of the series. I realize they already did the big "Goodbye Michael" episode but how do you not bring back Steve Carrell? Just seemed odd to me. Turns out the rumors were just that because it looks like Dunder Mifflin's greatest branch manager will make a small cameo in the series finale on May 16th, well maybe.
Executive Producer of The Office, Greg Daniels, did a conference call with reporters last week reminding everyone again that the finale with be Scott free,
“I think Steve felt, and I agree, that the ‘Goodbye, Michael’ episode was his goodbye and he didn’t want to overshadow the ending that all the other characters deserved.”
To me it seems that there's been way too much talk about how he won't be back, almost like they're trying to throw us off the scent of his return. Early reports said the final episode would feature the desk jockeys of Scranton, PA sitting down and finally watching the documentary that they've been a part of for all these years. It seems weird that Michael wouldn't be a part of that or at least feature him in a "Where Are They Now" type segment like they did for the British version. If you ask me I think he'll be back but we'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime check out the video below featuring the best of Toby v/s Michael, one of my favorite office love/hate relationships at Dunder Mifflin..........
