Broad City

If you haven't seen the new Comedy Central show "Broad City" you're missing out. The series was created by Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson, who also star as the series leads, and was developed from their web series of the same name that was produced from 2009 to 2011. It also features supporting roles from Hannibal Buress, John Gemberling and executive producer Amy Poehler. It's about Ilana and Abbi, two girls in their 20s, navigating their way through life and New York City. It's kind of like that HBO show "Girls" except Broad City is funny and doesn't feature a bunch of whiney rich girls. Before they hit it big in primetime both ladies got their start and met at the Upright Citizens Brigade doing sketch and improv comedy. From there they started the successful web series, below is one of my favorite episodes. Click here for a link to their YouTube channel and check out the rest of the episodes. Broad City airs Wednesday night on Comedy Central.
