Remembering An NFL Legend

Just over a week ago we lost an NFL living legend in Art "Fatso" Donovan. He played defensive tackle for the Baltimore Colts back in the good old days of the NFL from 1950-1961 and won 2 championships, was chosen as an all-pro 4 times and was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1968. Donovan gained a reputation in his playing days for his size, about 275, and this was long before 300 pounders were a normal thing in the NFL. Of course he was also known for being a true tough guy and one of the best to ever play the position. Through the years he became more popular for his off the field antics and wild party stories. If you go back and watch the old NFL Films clips Art Donovan is by far one of the best story tellers the league has ever seen. Giving a little bit of insight to the behind the scenes life in a time when athletes were just regular guys who enjoyed the game and lots of beers.
Here he is on the Tonight Show w/ Johnny Carson sometime in the late 70's early 80's telling some old war stories from his playing days. They don't make 'em like this anymore that's for sure.........
